Orlando, 2007

In April, 2007 the Badin Music Department undertook an ambitious six-day tour of Florida.  The Concert Band, Concert Choir and Color Guard all performed on stage at Hard Rock Live! in Orlando as part of the All-American Music Festival.  For the Color Guard, this was the first-ever national competition appearance and the first indoor competition performance in seven years.

The appearance at the festival was a great success, as the Color Guard earned 1st Place and a Superior rating, the Concert Choir earned First Place in their class, and the Concert Band earned First Place and a rating of Excellent.  In addition, several Badin percussionists took part in the "World's Fastest Drummer" contest at the festival, with Badin's Ryan Boyd placing second.

Another highlight of the tour was the Ram Marching Band's performance at the World Fest March at EPCOT Center at Walt Disney World, Badin's first appearance at Disney in more than a decade.

Other trip highlight's included visits to Ron Jon's Surf Shop at Cocoa Beach, Medieval Times, Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios, he Kennedy Space Center and Mass at the Mary, Queen Of The Universe Shrine.
